Get a Library Card
Individuals and families living in the town of Richmond (with proof of residency) have free use of the Library and may register as patrons. Nonresidents that do not reside in a Homecard town may purchase a yearly membership at $35 per household. Use of the library or its services may be denied for just cause as indicated in policies. Children 6-15 may have cards to borrow from the Richmond Free Library only. Adults (16+) may borrow from libraries on the Homecard system.
Homecard System
The library participates in the Home Card System (see Homecard Library System brochure) a system of reciprocity with 25 other libraries. Nonresidents living in towns with libraries participating in the Home Card System and wishing to use RFL must apply for a library card in their town of residence.
