Poor Farms in Vermont, 9/16

Vermont author Jodi Lew-Smith will join us on Wednesday, September 16, and 6:30pm, to talk about the 150-year history of poor farms in rural New England and explain the reasoning behind her fictional portrayal of a poor farm in her award-winning historical novel Asa James. Copies of the novel will be available for purchase following the talk. Co-sponsored with the Community Senior Center.
