Services and Programs:

Public Access Computers: 
Three computers are available for accessing the Internet, word processing or other applications.  Users may sign up for 30 minutes, with a further 30 minutes if no patrons are waiting.  The library assumes no responsibility for supervising computer users who are minors. 

Homecard System
Under the homecard system, all Richmond Free Library cards held by persons 16 years old or older are honored at the following libraries:  Cambridge/Jefferson, Charlotte, Colchester, Essex, Essex Junction, Hinesburg, Huntington, Underhill/Jericho, Jericho Center, Milton, Shelburne, South Burlington, South Hero, Westford, Williston, and Winooski.

Interlibrary Loan Program
The Richmond Free Library will borrow materials from other libraries on behalf of Richmond patrons.  Patrons from other towns should initiate requests through their hometown libraries.  Please consider utilizing the homecard to save on postage costs.

Public Fax Service
Our FAX telephone number is 434-3223.  Facsimiles may be sent for $1.00/page and received for $.10/page.

Special Discounts

Vermont Gallery & Museum Alliance:  Library patrons showing their Richmond Free Library cards receive a 10% discount on admission to all member institutions of the Vermont Gallery & Museum Alliance.   Member institutions include:  Shelburne Museum, Vermont Folklife Center, Bird of Vermont Museum, Fleming Museum, Billings Farm and Museum, American Precision Museum and many others.  A full listing of members can be viewed at www.vmga.org.

ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain:  The library pass will admit upt to two adults and three children for $2.00 each.  The pass may be borrowed for 3 days.  Holds may be placed, but we cannot reserve specific days. 

Community Room
Our large meeting room is available for events, parties, classes, concerts, dances, etc.  Generally, rates for using the space are:  $25/hour for private functions and events/classes that charge a fee; private meetings for not for profit organizations are $15/hour. Events that are free and open to the public incur no charge.  ALL events must have a Space Use Agreement form completed and returned to the library to secure the community room.
